In this information & connected world, we are bombarded with data in terms of volume, velocity,
variety leading us to question and decipher the veracity of the data.

For example, if you were to get a genuine invitation from the Prime Minister office or
from the International embassy to attend a prestigious meeting, we're in an age where we're
forced to question whether it is a genuine invitation or spam. We are surrounded by fake news
& more everywhere as repeatedly confirmed in the media reports. That is where the veracity
of the data becomes important.

With the spread of spams and more, along with constant bombardment of news, data and more from various media outlets, we are unable to find out whether something is true or not with ease any more. To capture this key element as part of a talk, our founder had submitted the following abstract for a potential invited talk, which for various reasons did not take place then.
As quoted in this abstract, there were a couple of emails received that appeared to be emails from reputed office. However, with a constant bombardment of fake emails, and spams in various forms, our founder had shared the content of these email with close associates, who were not confident about the veracity, meaning the truth and the source of the content. Though further research from our founder's side appeared to suggest that it might have been genuine, our founder opted out of even giving validity to those emails. If this is where we are when we are forced to question about emails and mails from potentially registered offices all the way from the top causing us to raise our eyebrows to the authenticity of those source of information, how are we going to identify the veracity of those sources?
This is where thorough investigation of data is required, which might not be a viable option for common people either due to lack of time, resources and/or depth of knowledge to investigate thoroughly.

(PBD) Convention is being organized in Varanasi,
Uttar Pradesh from 21-23 January, 2019. The PBD
Convention this time is a unique one because of
added attractions of visit to Prayagraj on 24 January
to take part in/witness Kumbh and visit to Delhi to witness
Republic Day Parade on 26 January.

for PBD Convention is open till 10 January, 2019 and

Wish you and your family a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year, 2019, As you may be aware, this year 15th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) will be celebrated in Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) from 21st to 23rd January, 2019. In reverence to the sentiments of the Indian Diaspora, the participants in the PBD are also offered to visit the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on 24th January and to witness Republic Day Parade in New Delhi on 26th January, 2019. Transport and Special Pravasi Express (Trains) have been arranged in this regard.
